Fowlis Wester is a small village situated four miles northeast of Crieff in Perthshire, Scotland.
The 13th century church of St Bean, rebuilt in neo-medieval form by J. Jeffrey Waddell in 1927,
has two 9th century Pictish cross-slabs, one of which shows Jonah being swallowed by the whale.
A replica of a taller slab stands in the village centre. Fowlis Wester is worth a visit on any Tour of Scotland.
