There are many online resouces available if you wish to further your knowledge of Scottish Hospitality Training.

Further Education Resources for Learning.The teaching and learning section of the website contains a bank of around 30 suggested resources. Interested users can search for many useful topics including hospitality and catering producing free resources ranging from worksheets for students to study catering, health and safety, to Leisure, Tourism and Sport.

Learning and Teaching Scotland produce a series of learning packs which can be accessed using the search
function on the NationaL Qualifications micro-site. They include publications such as practical cookery skills for the hospitality industry, and contain information and worksheets about culinary terms from brunoise to
julienne, appropriate use of garnishes and safe methods of working in the kitchen. The pack also contains 10 starter, main and dessert recipes.

Based at the University of Birmingham, Altis says its main function is to provide quality internet information for students, lecturers, researchers and practitioners.

learning materials section provides a list of useful web-based free resources.

Council for Hospitality Management Education (CHME).
CHME is a voluntary non profit making body representing UK universities and colleges that offer courses in hotel and catering management. The Web site has information about the organisation and its initiatives, together with a list of members and their contact information. There are also details of forthcoming events and conferences, some requiring Adobe Acrobat software to download.

4Hoteliers. This Web site is a news and information resource for international hoteliers and travel trade executives. It provides up to date industry news and trends together with press releases from the main hotel chains, events details, industry related technology and careers information, and a directory of hotel and hospitality links. There is a feature articles and research library covering topics such as crisis management, food and beverage, IT, finance, sales and marketing, and human resources and training.

The Food arid Drink Federation provides a colourful and informative food safety website packed with many free downloads, teaching resources and online interactive
games and useful information.

ViaMichelin. This is the online Michelin guide to European restaurants, hotels, tourism and travel. The Web site is organised into the following sections: Driving Directions; Maps; Traffic; Weather; Hotels; Restaurants; Tourism; Magazine; and online Store. The Restaurants, Hotels and Tourism databases are all searchable by country, city, location and keywords. The Restaurants database is additionally searchable by number of Michelin stars awarded. The Tourism database is also searchable by type of tourist attraction.
